Basketball’s Andrew Bogut promotes online sponsorship platform Sportility
With aspirations to provide sports sponsorship options for grassroots clubs globally, online sponsorship platform Sportility has linked with Australian basketball star Andrew Bogut.
Founded in 2017 by Adam Hyman and Dan Harsanyi, Sportility has grown from an apparel brand with 25,000 members, to a complete sponsorship solution, supporting 60,000 local players across Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
Sporting teams have the ability to design and customise their apparel online with the option to select up to three sponsor logos, which reduces their expenses by up to 40%.
Hyman and Harsanyi advise “after speaking to our customers and business clients, we realised there were two challenges to solve - one being the under-resourced grassroots sporting teams and the other, brands looking for inexpensive, yet highly effective advertising opportunities.
“Sportility has filled an important gap in the market which globally democratises amateur sports sponsorship.”
Bogut explained that the potential Sportility has to influence and develop grassroots sports globally is significant, adding “If I didn’t have the opportunity to play basketball when I was a kid for my local club, I think my life would have turned out very differently.
“Not only is Sportility changing the way sponsorship operates in the world, but they are also providing even more opportunities for the next generation of Aussie superstars to play like a pro.
“I’m proud to be a part of this industry gamechanger.”
Hyman and Harsanyi concluded “sponsored sports gear is the first step before completely unlocking all sponsorship assets in the amateur sports arena and defining a completely new industry.
“With elite sportspeople such as Andrew Bogut by our side, we are confident we can achieve this and more.”
