Australia's sports industry set to convene at premier Sports Business Summit
Global sport marketeer Dan Migala will be giving the opening International Keynote Presentation at the upcoming Sports Business Summit.
Inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame for his marketing work, Migala, the founder of sports marketing consulting PCG (Property Consulting Group) will present on innovating through non-traditional revenue strategies and looking for the 'hero moment' in Australian sport.
Migala, known for his work in American sport, has also consulted for Cricket Australian on the marketing of the Twenty20 Big Bash League.
Other presentations at the Summit, being held on 10th December 2012 at the Sydney Harbour Marriott, will include:
A roundtable discussion on the future of intellectual property and IP ownership featuring insights from Netball Australia Chief Executive Kate Palmer; NRL General Manager of Media and Communications John Brady; and Zova Executive Directorand former St Kilda FC Chief Executive and FFA's Head of A-League Archie Fraser;
A second roundtable discussion featuring Australian Rugby Union acting Chief Executive Matt Carroll; former Federal Sports Minister, Mark Abib; Basketball Australia Chief Executive Kristina Keneally and Australian Sports Commission Chief Executive Simon Hollingsworth.
Collingwood FC Chief Executive Gary Pert presenting a case study presentation on generating revenue and thinking like a 'high street retailer';
The Summit will also feature a one-on-one interview with Sydney FC Chief Executive Tony Pignata on commercialising the Alessandro Del Piero signing.
