Australian Tourism Export Council launches its 2024 ELITE program
The Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) has launched its 8th Emerging Leaders of Inbound Tourism Excellence (ELITE) program, the latest round to begin a journey to join more than 170 graduates.
This year’s cohort of 30 comes from across all states and territories and represents the largest group since the program’s inception in 2015.
ATEC Managing Director Peter Shelley notes “ATEC is hugely proud of ELITE which has become a highly coveted professional development program for the inbound tourism sector.
“This is yet another impressive group of emerging industry leaders who represent a diverse mix of buyers and sellers from across the export industry taking part in this comprehensive leadership skills training program.”
ELITE aims to equip participants with essential leadership skills through six intensive development modules. Emerging Leaders are also matched with industry mentors for one-on-one coaching, take part in group mentoring sessions, and hear insights from individual leaders on their industry journeys, career lessons and leadership pathways.
Shelley added “ELITE continues to be a cornerstone of ATEC's commitment to strengthening and supporting the growth of future leaders in the tourism industry.
“The industry is looking forward to the ELITE project presentations and graduation, which is a highlight of ATEC Meeting Place, taking place on the Gold Coast later this year.”
