Australian projects shortlisted in World Architectural Festival 2022 awards

The World Architectural Festival (WAF) has announced the finalists for its 2022 awards, with more than 40 Australian projects making the shortlist

The awards, which recognise completed buildings, future projects and landscapes across 43 categories, have seen 420 projects from more than 50 countries shortlisted.

Commenting on the finalists, WAF Program Director, Paul Finch stated “the number and quality of entries this year has been very encouraging, and we are looking forward to meeting in person to carry out category judging and then our best-in-show awards.”

The 2022 World Architecture Festival will be held in Lisbon from 30th November until 2nd December as the first in-person event since 2019. The festival, organized under the theme ‘Together’, will include a speaker series exploring how architecture is responding to a post-pandemic world, as well as how it is adapting in the face of climate change.
