Australian Music Event Platform loadin secures Good Design Awards
Australian-built platform designed for the music industry - loadin. com has recently secured two Australian Good Design Awards.
Designed by the music industry, for the music industry, loadin took out a Gold Award in the Digital App and Software Category in recognition of their innovative and collaborative approach to festival advancing.
The platform also won an award for Service Design, highlighting its mission to simplify processes and deliver a smoother, more efficient experience for everyone involved in the lead-up to show day.
Each year, the Australian Good Design Awards draws innovative design projects from around the world, highlighting excellence in design, architecture, engineering, research, fashion, and social impact. Entries span a wide variety of industries and sectors, featuring everything from everyday product designs to the structures where we live and work, as well as the systems and processes that drive businesses and support communities.
Co-founded by seasoned music production expert Haydn Johnston and web industry veteran Alan James, loadin is transforming artist advancing on a global scale. By replacing time-consuming emails, spreadsheets, and logistical confusion with a streamlined, centralised platform, loadin has become the go-to solution for major events across Australia and beyond.
With an impressive lineup of Australian clients, loadin supports industry icons like Laneway Festival, Good Things, CMC Rocks, Ridin’ Hearts Festival, Wildlands, Beyond the Valley, Ability Fest, Mardi Gras, Sounds Australia, Twilights at Taronga, Ministry of Sound, and the recently concluded SXSW Sydney.
But it’s overseas where loadin is gaining significant momentum. It has become the go-to platform for all Festival Republic (Live Nation) events in the UK and Ireland, including renowned festivals like Reading and Leeds, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Latitude, and Electric Picnic. Additionally, loadin supports renowned events such as Isle of Wight Festival, WOMAD New Zealand, Rhythm and Vines and AEG’s Re:SET concert series in the US. The platform’s growing adoption worldwide highlights a new era in efficient, cost-effective festival management.
loadin General Manager Kat Coppins notes “loadin was created with a specific goal in mind: to simplify the music events industry and make life easier for all the hardworking people behind the scenes who bring these shows to life. Being recognised by the Australian Good Design Awards is a tremendous honour, shining a light on loadin’s innovative platform that streamlines time-consuming processes and conserves valuable resources—benefits that we are proud so many events are now reaping from the platform.
“2024 was a landmark year for loadin.com, working with an incredible roster of clients across Australia and the UK. We’re excited to already be working with Laneway, Mardi Gras, Womad Aotearoa, and CMC Rocks again in 2025 and are looking forward to expanding our international footprint as the word about loadin.com continues to spread.”
loadin.com is gearing up for a big 2025, aiming to play a key role in strengthening the music events industry, one festival at a time.
