Aussie Ark thanks businesses who pledged in last year’s 2022 campaign
Not-for-profit conservetion organisation Aussie Ark has officially named and thanked the 13 businesses who pledged $2022 for the organisation’s innovative “$2022 by 22 Businesses in 2022” campaign last year.
The target was to engage 22 businesses to pledge $2022 within 2022. Although the number of businesses fell short, Aussie Ark couldn’t be happier with the result and the difference the donations will make.
The businesses are:
Carol Elaine Art
Riki’s Tours Japan
SixPivot
AGL
Australian Wildlife Encounters
Farey & Co Real Estate
Bendigo Bank
Warialda
Kelly + Partners
Oddfish Media
Goodwill Building
Experts in Conveyancing
G Building & Co
The total amount raised was $26,286.00 which will directly fund the breeding and rewilding programs run by Aussie Ark for some of Australia’s most iconic endangered species.
Deputy Managing Director Liz Gabriel thanked the businesses involved sharing “these funds help secure our work into the future, and we can’t thank the businesses enough. It was a chance for businesses to step up and make a measurable difference in the conservation space. Those businesses are now a shining example for others, and a source of inspiration moving forward.”
Gabriel said Aussie Ark was inspired to run the campaign in direct response to the past four years of disasters that decimated so many Australian species and noted “Bushfire infernos, intense drought, global health pandemics, and flash flooding have all served blow after blow to Australian wildlife. Billions of animals have been lost in the last few years alone.”
Gabriel said more species will continue to be lost as introduced feral predators plague Australian wildlife, and urban sprawl, disease, deforestation and climate change intensify.
Aussie Ark are the world-leaders in the breeding and rewilding of some of Australia’s most endangered and iconic species.
The “$2022 by 22 businesses in 2022” was a call-to-action that once again strengthened the relationship between the famous conservation organisation and its wider community.
“Aussie Ark is reliant on donation to continue its vital work into the future,” added Gabriel. “It’s all about working together for a common goal, and a shared love of our wildlife. This campaign again proved the support we have in our community. In turn, that show of support helps inspire us. So huge thanks to all the businesses who pledged a donation. We can’t do what we do without you!”
The campaign might be over, but it’s never too late to join Aussie Ark’s conservation crusade…and pledge to this year’s campaigns!
