Aussie Ark invites guest to view Australia’s most endangered species in wild environments

Not-for-profit conservation organisation Aussie Ark (formerly Devil Ark) is opening its doors to the general public for the very first time since starting the conservation breeding facility in 2011.

Throughout January 2019 (from Tuesday 1st to Sunday 27th January) Aussie Ark, located at Tomalla Station in the NSW Barrington Tops, is inviting visitors to meet some of Australia’s most endangered species in wild environments.

While on the tour, it has been guaranteed that visitors will see and encounter Eastern quolls and Tasmanian devils in their wild enclosures.

Devil Ark President, Tim Faulkner explains “this is a huge milestone for Devil Ark. We have been running private tours for the past four years; however, we have never been open for passers-by to visit at their own leisure. To be officially opening for this limited time is really exciting for us and we can’t wait to share this experience with everyone.

“We can guarantee that all of our visitors will personally be able to see our Tasmanian devils in their wild environments as well as our recently added Aussie Ark species, the Eastern quoll.”

Aussie Ark has partnered with Upper Hunter Shire Council and The Orchard Lodge for the public opening with the aim to bring more visitation to the region and increase overnight stays.

Devil Ark is located on Tomalla Station high in the Barrington Tops, with the closest major towns being Scone and Gloucester.

Devil Ark is a registered environmental organisation and charitable institution under the Australian Charity and Not-for-Profit Commission. Devil Ark has deductible gift recipient status (DGR status) and is registered for GST purposes.
