ATEC launches new online Muslim Host training program

The Australian Tourism Export Council has launched a new Muslim Host training program which is online and self-directed, allowing participants to learn at their own pace and receive instant recognition.

The growth of the Muslim population and their increasing disposable income have resulted in a large number of Muslims taking up travel for leisure, business, healthcare and religious reasons. This increase has resulted in Muslim travellers becoming one of the fastest growing travel segments in the tourism industry.

The ‘Muslim Host - Market & Culture Ready' training program is aimed at providing a better understanding of being ‘Muslim friendly”, providing insights on how to service the needs of the Muslim traveller to attract, serve and sustain visitation.

Lesson 1 - Program Introduction (5mins)

Lesson 2 - Society & Culture, Religion & Values (20mins)

Lesson 3 - Muslim Service Needs (20mins)

Lesson 4 - Motivators to travel (15mins)
