ASCTA presents first international conference
The Australian Swimming Coaches & Teachers Association (ASCTA) will be presenting its first international ASCTA conference.
To be held at the Langham Hotel, Hong Kong from 10th to 13th February 2012 the conference will be addressed by:
Laurie Lawrence (pictured), Olympic Coach, two time Swimming Hall of Fame inductee and Australian icon is delivering a range of topics on water safety and lesson delivery for babies through to elite level swimmers;
John Konrads, triple Olympic Gold medallists and author of Swim Easy;
Ross Gage - ASCTA and Swim Australia CEO; Vice President of the International Federation of Swimming Teachers' Association;
David Speechley - ASCTA GM; Swim Australiaï¾ Teacher, Swim Australiaï¾ Teacher of Competitive Swimming and Swim Australia Teacher of Adolescents and Adults courses author;
Julia Ham - ASCTA Course Presenter and owner Hampton Swimming;
Sharon Wrobel (Hong Kong) - ASCTA Course Presenter and Platypus Aquatics Business Manager;
Andy Astflack (Phillipines) - ASCTA Course Presenter and experienced Coach;
Chew Tan and Alain Chan (Singapore) - ASCTA Course Presenters and owners Total Swimming;
Dr Violet Lin (Hong Kong) will deliver a local perspective on what it takes to become a professional Teacher of younger children.
The event will also include the Swim Australia Teacher of Competitive Swimming course, and the Swim Australia Teacher of Babies and Toddlers course.
