ANZSTA awards celebrate sports tech industry innovators

The recent Australia and New Zealand Sports Technology Awards (ANZSTA), presented by the Australian Sports Technologies Network and the Sports Tech World Series, have recognised excellence in Australasia’s fast growing sports tech ecosystem.

Celebrating the companies, teams and individuals using technology to create innovative, best-in-class solutions and experiences in sports, both on and off the field of play, the at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall at the end of August as part of the Australia Sports Innovation Week.

Commenting on the program, Australian Sports Technologies Network (ASTN) Chair, Dr Martin Schlegel stated “rapid growth in sports tech is reshaping the sports industry as we know it and unlocking new revenue streams.

“As revealed in our 2023 Sports Innovation Report the sportstech sector in Australia is now worth $4.25 billion, equal in value to Australia’s fintech sector.

“We are proud to celebrate these outstanding companies and innovators fuelling growth in the sector.”

Nominated companies were assessed by a judging panel of industry experts representing industry, government and academia.
