ANZSLA Launches Program for 2010 Conference
The Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association (ANZSLA) has released details of it 2010 annual conference.
To be held in Sydney from Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th September 2010, the theme of the Association's 20th conference is âSport and the Media â In the Spotlightâ.
Presenters at the event include prominent sporting and media experts who will speak on a range of topics focusing on the relationship between sport and the media. The exciting program includes panel discussions featuring chief executives from major sporting organisations including David Gallop of the National Rugby League and Steve Tew of the New Zealand Rugb Union; past and present sporting stars including Ian Thorpe and Al Baxter; and leading sports journalists including Rebecca Wilson, Josh Massoud, Brent Read and Nicole Jeffery. The event will also include sessions covering issues in rights acquisition, privacy and new media.
The Conference will open with the Presidentâs Cocktail Party at Allens Arthur Robinson on Wednesday, 8th September and the Gala Dinner on Thursday, 9th September will be held at Quay Restaurant.
Delegates are also invited to join three exciting optional social activities on Saturday, 11th September:
A tour of the famous Sydney Cricket Ground;
A tour of the Bradman Museum of Cricket and
The opportunity to watch the All Blacks and Qantas Wallabies battle it out for the Bledisloe Cup at the ANZ Stadium.
