Shannon Rollason has resigned as head swimming coach at the Australian Institute of Sport to take up a position in Denmark.
Rollason moved from his Brisbane base to join the AIS in 2005 following a successful Athens Olympics campaign the previous year.
He will take up the position of Head Coach for the National Training Centre in Denmark.
His star pupil Jodie Henry won three gold medals, including the women's 100 metres freestyle, in which she broke the world record in the semi-finals.
