AIF Launches Expanded Course Program

The Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF) has launched its latest course, a tailored Massage Therapy Program, designed especially for the sports and fitness industry.

The AIF's new course and certification, an Institute Certified Massage Therapist specialising in Fitness and Sport, has been developed by the Institute after researching the sports and fitness industry and talking with its career partners.

The program covers general massage with general populations with the environment, course content, case studies and activities focussing on the physically active.

The Massage Therapist Program covers a deeper knowledge of anatomy and physiology, the skills to perform a variety of massage techniques, to administer relaxation massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage and trigger point techniques.

As professional Personal Trainer Michelle Bridges explains "the Institute's Massage Therapist Course is the perfect complement to Certificate IV in Fitness. It's ideal for anyone who wants to succeed in the sports and fitness industry.

"The best thing if you're already qualified in fitness like me  (is that) you, can jump into the Institute's Massage Therapist course and get qualified quickly. Graduates will have the opportunity to be an Institute Certified Massage Therapist specialising in Fitness and Sport."
