Adelaide Fringe events transform the city with open-air entertainment
Adelaide Fringe events - Twilight Fringe on O’Connell Street, Gouger Street Feast and East End Unleashed - are set to transform Adelaide into a COVIDSafe, family-friendly space of free open-air entertainment.
Adelaide Lord Mayor Sandy Verschoor said there’s no better time to visit the city and North Adelaide than at this time of year as there’s just so much to see and do during the day and night.
“With an array of unique eateries and bars, and with longer days and warm nights, now is the time to soak up all the activities the city and North Adelaide have to offer.”
The Eighty-Eight O’Connell site will be transformed into an open-air Fringe venue from 26th February with a free program of entertainment including aerial artists, street theatre, roving artists, fire twirlers and musicians. A pop-up bar is on site for refreshments.
Gouger Street Feast offers late night street dining during Fringe with outdoor dining spilling out on the streets across two Saturday nights, creating a feast for the senses with live music and delicious food from Gouger Street’s best eateries. Gouger Street will be open to foot traffic until midnight on Saturday 27th February and Saturday 20th March.
With East End Unleashed, Rundle Street will present as one big party on Friday and Saturday nights during the Fringe - open to foot traffic, to safely roam down the festival hub. Outdoor dining will be extended until midnight. The East End will be buzzing with the Ebenezer Night Markets and all the action of Adelaide Fringe, Gluttony and The Garden of Unearthly Delights.
