Achievers and leading industry speakers to address ARI NSW Annual Conference
The Aquatic and Recreation Institute (ARI) NSW is inviting delegates and attendees to “dive into an unforgettable experience” at its upcoming 2024 Conference.
Featuring an exceptional lineup of keynote speakers and expert panellists, the conference, being held from 19th to 21st May at West HQ in Western Sydney includes speakers Alisa Camplin AM, Elena Gosse OAM, Chakyl Camal, Cain Liddle and Jessica Wilson, each bringing a wealth of expertise and inspiration to the conference.
Alisa Camplin AM, celebrated as Australia’s Winter Olympic Gold Medallist in Freestyle Aerial Skiing (2002), has seamlessly transitioned from the slopes to becoming a prominent leader in Australian business, sports administration, and corporate governance.
Chakyl Camal, an Olympic swimmer and property entrepreneur, will share his inspirational journey, including insights from his upcoming book titled ‘How I Swam Out of Africa’. His story of triumph and determination is set to captivate delegates.
Elena Gosse OAM, Chief Executive of AIS Water, will deliver a dynamic and inspirational presentation focused on business and leadership development. Elena shares her personal journey of immigrating to Australia and growing a successful family business, emphasising embracing discomfort, confronting limiting beliefs, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Cain Liddle, with extensive experience managing Victoria's largest leisure facilities and serving in key leadership roles within the sports industry, brings a unique perspective on business diversification and growth strategies in sports and leisure.
Jessica Wilson, co-founder of Women Making Waves and recognized as one of Forbes' ‘1,000 Entrepreneurs Under 30 to Change the World’, is a dynamic keynote speaker known for her insights on innovation and the entrepreneurial mindset.
ARI Chairperson, Marco Blanco explains that “the conference program is designed to address key topics shaping the aquatics and recreation landscape, including emergency response and safety, sustainable facility management, diversity and inclusion, workforce challenges and young leaders.
Blanco noted "we are thrilled to present such an exceptional lineup of speakers for this year's conference.

Blanco also stated that he was delighted with a very positive response from ARI’s trade partners which meant that this year’s event has sold out of trade exhibit spots.
The ARI NSW Conference 2024 will take place at the Sydney Coliseum, West HQ, bringing together industry professionals from across the state.
