Accor agrees strategic partnership with Opera Australia
Opera Australia has announced that Accor, the nation’s largest hotel operator, is taking up a Gold Partnership with the major performing arts company.
The landmark sponsorship sees Accor become the preferred accommodation partner for Opera Australia for its 2023 season during which the two brands will combine to offer new experiences to both domestic and international guests.
Building on Accor’s commitment to its ALL (Accor Live Limitless) loyalty members, participants can look forward to a range of exclusive offers including backstage tours, VIP tickets, crew being accommodated at Accor hotels when touring and even the chance for a walk-on role in an upcoming Opera Australia production.
Described the relationship as a natural fit for the accommodation provider, Accor Pacific Chief Executive, Sarah Derry stated “we are delighted to partner with Opera Australia - one of Australia’s most celebrated cultural institutions. We believe that arts are an integral part of our culture, so we’re thrilled to support Opera Australia’s mission to perform some of the greatest music ever written, to as many people as possible.
“Through this partnership, we will provide our guests with unique experiences that showcase the best of Australia’s arts, culture and hospitality. It also allows us to unlock even greater experiences and benefits for our ALL loyalty members as we continue to build and grow our partnerships
Pointing to the great opportunity the partnership represents, Opera Australia Chief Executives, Fiona Allan added “Opera Australia and Accor share an unwavering commitment to provide excellence in all that we do, with a firm focus on supporting and presenting exceptional artistic and cultural experiences to local and international audiences.
“This partnership will give us both the opportunity to expand on our existing offerings, combining to elevate those experiences of world-class performing arts and hospitality to a whole new level.”
Opera Australia presents more than 600 performances every year to a combined audience of over half a million people.
It is set to perform several notable productions in the 2023 season including Madama Butterfly on Sydney Harbour, Miss Saigon and Wagner’s Ring Cycle in Brisbane.
