2012 Australia Fitness & Health Expo gets Olympic fever
The date for the 2012 Australian Fitness & Health Expo has been confirmed with the fitness industries' big event set to take place at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre on 27th to 29th April 2012.
Being held just months before the 2012 London Olympics, the Expo will bring with it all the latest trends and advice in health and fitness plus some exclusive Olympic previews.
In recent days Expo organisers have confirmed that the Australian Weightlifting Federation will run a 'state of origin' competition on the Saturday and Sunday, featuring some of Australia's top Olympic weightlifters.
The International Natural Bodybuilding Association will also feature a two-day competition at the 2012 Expo while the Police Citizens Youth Club will run an Olympic-style youth boxing competition across the three days.

Research at last year's Expo revealed that injury was a major new challenge to fitness, with 31.9% of respondents nominating it as a hurdle. This was closely followed by eating (17%), supplements (14.9%) and diet (12.8%).

As the largest health and fitness event in the southern hemisphere, the Expo will unveil the hottest products and training methods including gym equipment, fitness fashion and the latest in sports nutrition directly from creators including Garmin, 2XU, Adidas, Lorna Jane, Musashi and Zumba.
There'll be live performances, appearances from sporting celebrities and opportunities to compete and trial products ï¾ so attendees are urged to wear their shorts and runners.
Exhibition Director Jon Perry said the 2012 Australian Fitness & Health Expo would be a fresh and exciting show with a real Olympic buzz, stating "what better way to find some motivation and inspiration for your own health and fitness than by looking at the great work some of Australia's top sportspeople are doing.
"This year's Australian Fitness & Health Expo will allow you to get up close and personal with some of Australia's past and present Olympians and you can try out products that our Olympians are using right now to train.
